I’m Laura, nice to meet you!

 

I’m a Cuban artist, illustrator, and surface designer, based in the  Pacific Northwest.

 

My work combines both traditional and modern techniques. 

​

I am inspired by nature, patterns, vintage illustration, letterforms, color play and folk stories.

 

I aim to create visual interest in my illustrations through movement, color and balance. My studio work focuses on experimental play with watercolors, inks, soft pastels and graphite while my freelance work playfully merges the

analogue and digital worlds, for a hand-made quality.

As a self-taught artist and designer, experimenting and learning new things has become a forever quest that fuels and inspires me, while creating space to be surprised and grow in the process.

 

I'm a dog mom with an all around passion for everything creative. I love forest walks, cozy days at home, exploring new places and making to do lists.

Drawing, painting, and designing brings me so much joy, and I feel so lucky I got to turn my passion into my job. Thank you for being here!
